Popular car company Maruti Suzuki is going to bring their new SUV Suzuki Jimny to India. According to Suzuki, the car will be fully manufactured in India and will go on sale in India first. Suzuki Motor is going to bring this car to the Indian market with the aim of making the Indian government self-sufficient in the automobile sector. As you may know, the Japanese car company Suzuki manufactures 50,000 units of off-road vehicles every year in its own country.
Although initially, Suzuki wanted the three-door model of this car to be assembled in India. However, Suzuki is currently planning to launch a 5-door model of the car in India and the model will be made in India.
The car manufacturer's goal is to make 3-door and 5-door models locally by 2022-23. According to another report, Suzuki has contacted some Indian vendors in the last 5 months to get all the products of the 5 door Jimny product.
The 3-door Suzuki Jimny was showcased for the first time at this year's Auto Expo. Suzuki had planned to launch this 5-door Jimny for India after Suzuki Gypsy stopped production last year. In other countries, the car is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine (120 PS / 130 nm). This car can be operated with 5 speed manual transmission or 4 speed torque converter automatic mode. The specifications of this car in India are likely to be a little different.
